sometimes i just wonder..

why people refuse to openly admit their folly
like how Eng FA chief excutive Brian Barwick insisting that Sven Goran Eriksson was not an expensive mistake when he clearly was quite worthless
-paid him 5 million pounds a year for 5 years just to exit at the quarterfinals at major tournaments
-had affairs with the office staff
-openly admitted his distaste for the job (and got caught for it!)

sometimes i just wonder..
why people like to spend so much money and resources for worthless stuff
like how MediaCorp spends so much resources on avertising the current remaining batch of Singapore Idols when they are clearly not idol material..

somtimes i just lie awake and wonder..
why things turn out the way they did in the club..
there are so many things to wonder about in this world..if i continue to bother myself with such stuff, sooner or later i will go bonkers..

PM Lee's embracing of foreign talent really set me thinking in Business, Government and Society class. I came up with two noteworthy thoughts..
1. i think it is harsh to accuse the foreign talent completely of taking up our jobs..this is based on the assumption that:
- if the foreign talents are not actively brought in, it means that the local talents are staying put in singapore.
- then the jobs will just be taken up by someone local, not foreign.
- at the end of the day, jobs will be snatched away, its just a matter of who does it (local or overseas)

2. if foreign talents are brought in at an exponential rate and local talents are leaving at an exponential rate, and assuming that all the not so fortunate people are staying in singapore and take up the odd jobs, wont there come a time where singapore's big business will be runned by non-singaporeans. all the top positions will be taken up by foreigners and all the road sweepers, toilet cleaners etc be singaporean (e.g me for instance but i prefer doing area cleaning)

anyone watched the terminator series? its basically abt how machines, supposedly to better peoples' lives, end up taking over and trying to annihilate them..ohh yeah..

anyone who watched the movie "LOVE ACTUALLY" will be familiar with this scene featuring Kiera Knightly (woo hawt!!!) and some unknown guy..
think this just about sums up someone's love life

i just realised how irritating it is to work with someone who puts on a grumpy face all the while..then i did a self reflection..many people say that i look fierce/unapproachable bleah bleah but its just the way i was born..i remember there is a quote saying it takes much less face muscles to smile than to frown so one should always smile (which is flawed btw coz the more muscles u use, the more muscular it becomes) but i literally have to shift my mouth slightly higher to keep a friendlier face..which is damn tiring btw..
